Recipes for Christmas Chutney to go with your Christmas Dinner


     



Christmas Chutney Recipe

Christmas chutneys are a delicious accompaniement to many Christmas dishes including turkey, ham, pork, salmon, and of course cheese. This recipe for Christmas chutney can be very flexible e.g. you might like to substitute blue berries for cranberries, etc. Let your Christmas chutney recipe be limited only by your imagination.



Recipe Ingredients
• 2.0kg apples, peeled and chopped
• 250g cranberries
• 250g plums, stoned and chopped
• 100g sultanas
• 2 cinnamon sticks
• 3 strips of orange peel
• 7 tbsp cider vinegar
• 800g muscuvado sugar

To cook your Christmas chutney, put the apples and cranberries, plums, sultanas, sugar and vinegar in a large pan with the cinnamon sticks and orange peel and cook on a low heat until the sugar dissolved.

Increase the heat and cook the Christmas chutney for 45 minutes, stirring frequently until very thick. When mixture is firm, the chutney is cooked.
