Egerton Street. Peter Kavanagh's Irish Pub is a real gem of a pub, and one I never hesitate to recommend to visitors, particularly at Christmas Originally the premises were just the end building on Egerton Street, but over the years it has expanded to take in a couple of the adjoining houses.

Dale St.The Ship and Mitre is known to many as Merseyside's Premier Real Ale pub. Liverpool CAMRA Pub Of The Year in 2009. An original 1930's Art Deco building, the interior has been changed to resemble that of a ship. Real Ale for Christmas.

Hope Street. Dazzling and flamboyant, Philharmonic Dining Rooms known as 'the most ornate pub in England' shortened to 'The Phil', named after Philharmonic Hall opposite.Completed 1900, it is a showpiece in the style of a gentlemen's club. Perfect for Christmas Drinks.
